Past & Present....

My friend Alyssa and I are back in the earlyish 1900's.
And we decide we want to go out to California.
So we collect our change, and we go and see if we can get a last minute ticket. Then we get completely lost in the building to get back outside, somehow.
We're rushing around, trying to find the place to get a ticket, and who to give our bags to, and then where we go.
We meet this guy. He helps us get to the ticket place. Then where to get our bags. But then we're lost. We don't know how to get out to the boat. And the man that has helped us has disappeared.........
Then my view switches to where he's at. He's ran back to his home to get money. I see his small house, with his mother and very young brother. the man is only about 17-18, same age Alyssa and I are in the dream. His mother asks what he's doing. He says he's going out to California. She looks sad but agrees it's for the best.
My view switches back to my own. We are completely lost and we know the boat is leaving soon. Then the man joins us again, takes us to the boat, and to our surprise, boards it himself.
(in this part of the dream, it's got that old kinda colour....you know, like they used in old cowboy movies sometimes...)
Then I'm warped to present day. (The colour on this is kind of overly bright and yet washed out....)
Alyssa and I are sitting in these little lawn chairs by her house. She says my name. I look at her. She's passing me a joint. Then Leo from That 7o's Show is looking over her shoulder, asking if he can join us. naturally we agree.
So all three of us are passing it around, and then it's gone. I was taking like the biggest hits ever, without coughing. Then I stare at the ground, just my head hanging there.
And then all three of us gets up. Leo leaves, and we go into her house.
Her neighbour lady stops us on the way and asks us if we'd like cherry turnovers (which I love), but we refuse without looking her in the eye.
We go up to her Mom's room. To my surprise, her mom is bedridden. There's about five people surrounding her bed, entertaining her.
She looks at our eyes and asks why they're so red. I just say that we went swimming a little while ago and that always turns my eyes red. She looks at my a little skeptically, but she accepts it.
Then we're just outside bumming around on her porch, and everything is moving slower than normal, like if I turn my head or something, it's slower than usual. And I know in my dream, that would be due to smoking, so I think nothing of it.
Then I wake up.
