I’m observing a family in which a couple of members—-the patriarch and a son—-are accusing the other family members of plotting to poison them and retaliate by carrying saws and long knives for protection. They are hauling out boards and nails to build a walled-off section of the house in which to live.

The other family members are pleading with them to stop and come to their senses. The man and his son seem paranoid and irrational.

Later, the son somehow loses his crazy paranoid delusions and rejoins his family but offers no explanation for his lapse of sanity.
