I had this dream I believe the day after the one about the coyote-cats, so it's been a while.

It starts with 2 guy friends. One sees on TV that there's this store in Canada (don't ask why Canada--I don't have any idea) that is hosting this big lottery-style massive money giveaway thing. I don't know who's actually giving it away, but it's being done at this big store. You go there, register (I guess) and just see. I forget what the total prize is, but there's a chance that the friends might walk away with a million dollars or more (9 million comes to mind for some reason. The total maybe?).

The one friend knows he's gotten on the other's nerves by not being as reliable as he should have been, so he convinces his reluctant friend to go with him. They get there and see inside that there are about a gazillion people lined up. The line snakes haphazardly through the front part of the store, apparently at no designated area.

The first friend kind of loses heart when he sees this, not wanting to irritate his buddy even more. He turns to the 2nd friend and says that maybe he thinks it's not such a great idea after all, since there are so many people there. But they decide to go for it.

At this point, the characters change. Instead of the 2 guys, the 2 people look more like me and my mom, but not quite. But I think that's who they're supposed to be...? At any rate "we" enter the giant store and get in line. We make our way around, and at some point, the line is supposed to go left, but my "mom" drags me to the right, following these women in front of her, who seem to have their own agenda. I was caught off guard by this as I clearly was not paying them any attention. But they had some kind of plot in the works, whereby a diversion is created to get other people ahead in the line distracted so that they can line-jump. It sounds really silly, but they were dead serious.

The leader woman pointed out this lady who was pushing a stroller with a small child/baby/whatever in it, and communicated that someone should go move it while the lady was bothering with something else at the time. At this point, I'm wondering what in the world is going on. Are they just gonna push the stroller away or make off with the kid altogether. I don't like the plan. But my mom gets selected and she doesn't seem as uncomfortable with it as I am. I don't remember what I say to her, but she lets me know that she knows what she's doing, as if she's done something like this before. I'm sort of at a loss, but keep moving forward all the same.

Eventually I'm the one who gets to the front. And I get selected for something. The dream is sort of hazy in my mind at this point, but I seem to remember some sort of animal being present. But then some other girl with the same name as mine shows up and I apologize and say that she can have whatever it is that I was being given. The girl had a pet dragon or something and I just didn't wanna mess with them.

The dream sort of fizzles out around then.
