I'm with a girl who is taking me through her house. I'm not sure if I'm my age now or younger but the girl is young, probably 12. We stop at a cork board with gold writing on it (can't recall what it said) and shiny red cloths cut into the shape of bras strung up on it and tied together forming a string. She points at it and says her dad used to work at a place that sold them but was fired. Then she corrects herself and says "No, it was my mom that was fired. It was my mom." Then we exit the room.

Somehow I know she's lying and that in fact it was her dad that got fired but the kids in her family (there are about a dozen) were told to lie and say it was their mother that got fired. Her father is a prominent member of the community and does not want his reputation tarnished. But I guess it was OK for the mother's to be. Why, I don't know.
