4-1-11 I posted this in my diary, but that it would be a good addition to this forum as well because it's so bizarre! It's the first dream I've posted in about a month and it's a doozy. mg: I've got some money anxieties plus taking a prescription for sleep which may have attributed to these wild images from last night. Anyway, these are the images I remember: I'm in a picnic setting and my mother is sitting at a picnic bench with a few others. She begins to cry as someone talks about either the "first step" or "the next step." It's some kind of counseling program, but to do with what exactly is unclear. Then I'm in an area where there is a big industrial sink and a man is tied up with hands and feet bound to avoid escape. Another man is pouring lye over the man and the substance eats through the man's leg and it falls apart in two. Then he proceeds to pour the stuff over his back and I'm horrified. Then I observe the killer dragging what's left of the man's body (upper torso from breastbone up) to a lake to dispose of it and the dead man's face is distorted and flattened, with mouth gaped open. Then I'm observing a scene that reminds me of the album cover of Led Zeppelin's "Houses of Holy." Naked kids are climbing up to a house and the grassy yard is slanted like a manipulation of the camera but only slanted where they are crawling. Then I'm in a small trailer like compartment with a man who is getting a ride from a woman driving a truck that's hauling the trailer on the side and we can see each other through a port hole. We stop to observe a wedding. The bride and groom's faces are obscured as they walk away with their hair the same length and style; long, brown and wavy. end There was a lot more to this and maybe I'll post it if I remember, but that's some weird stuff!
I didn't make that connection originally, but it makes sense. And now that I think about it, the lye was poured over the man's right leg and hip, and I have arthritis in my right hip and knee. The cartilage in my hip is completely worn away. The orthopedic surgeon showed me the xray and said the only thing to do about it is a hip replacement. The other thing "eating at me" is the cost. My current job ends in June and there goes my health insurance. Here in the U.S., as I'm sure you know, health care is extremely expensive. A lot of asshole politicians don't think health care is a basic human right, but I digress.. So yeah, the interpretation fits.
