I've just been updating the Dream Themes page with photos of where I live and where I grew up and there's a surprising amount of water involved. My star sign is Aquarius, the water carrier, and water is supposed to represent the subconscious and the soul; I've never made the connection before between all my dreaming and all the rivers and lakes around where I live, it's a bit strange.

Mal, the pictures are so much remeinding of the time I spent in England. I stayed with a family in the Cotswolds in Leamington Spa, Kineton, and Banbury. These places still make visits into my dreams sometimes.

The houses look so familiar. The ones in your picture remind me of Kineton, so straight up and down. And such a quick walk down to the market, the shops and the big Anglican church. Leaminton spa was very tiny and the houses were all stone and thatch. Many of the houses had been remodeled on the inside (not allowed to touch the outside) to remove centuries of paint and plaster to get back to the original walls. Amazing how much space this created in the tiny rooms. Also the toilet and the bathtub were in seperate rooms built onto the back of the house. It was the first time I'd ever had to go outside a house to get to the bath, and this in winter! The toilet stall on the back porch was absolutely freezing. :cold:

But I had such a wonderful time and someday I WILL go back again to visit.

It is interesting about the water images. I am a land lubber myself and rarely ever have water in my dreams unless it is necessary.

Wow, I've never been to a house with a bath outside before. I do remember my granddad told me once about when he was young, before there were baths in everyone's houses, he had to walk to the public bath house down the road to get a proper wash. There I go again, I'm obsessed with water! ;)
