    last night's dream:

I'm staying at a hotel after a reunion. It's raining and the roof in my room is "drizzling" I think to myself. I walk out the room and down the hall carrying three presents and I'm on my way to a party with former co-workers. We are trying to find a dry hotel.

Then I'm trying to find safe shelters for animals. A tree is being cut down where a furry creature, that resembles a beaver. once lived. The creature is wrapped in a towel in a big shopping bag. I'm with a small group of people who are trying to find a new home for it. The event is being hosted by commedian Jay Leno.

Then I'm riding in a car with my sister. She wants to stop at a pizza place. I'm not hungry but she's driving so we stop. It is now 2:36 a.m. People from the animal safety league are showing up. I feel bad for the workers at the pizza place who are several hours behind schedule in closing the place up while waiting for us.

I see a lot of nurturing going on. Not just you taking care of the animals, but also the pizza, because food represents nurturing. There is also the fact that your sister is in the dream, and you both have the same parents. And, sorry for being crude, but a "beaver" is also a slang term for the place where babies come out of.

I did think of beaver as being related to the female genitilia. It seems I'm looking for a safe place for myself as well as the animals, such as searching for a dry hotel.

A womb is a safe place. I wouldn't call it "dry" however.

I recently saw a film about global warming (see the books and films forum) and see there is flooding here in the U.S. on the east coast. We;ve had a lot of rain the past couple of months and I worry how it will affect the ecological system. I feel this is what inspired the dream.
