1-16-08 I'm in a room in a cabin at some sort of resort. I see what looks like a cross between a bunny and a bee. It is very small, you can hold it in your palm, and has markings like a honey bee but has feature--long hind legs, feet and ears, like a rabbit or hare. I grab a garden tool like a shovel or spade and proceed to whack it but it morphs into a tiny human. The human is about the size of a child's baby doll. It is male, black, and a child. Now I am holding a small ball and throw it at the child, which is sitting in a plastic wheel chair built for it, and it bounces off the child. It says to me with a sad expression, "But you're a big kid." I take that to mean that I'm much bigger and shouldn't be throwing things at those that are weaker. I realize I can't hurt or kill it but I also know it is not what it pretends to be. Then I'm outside and I'm taking a tour of the grounds. I see a cement pond and I think I would love to go swimming but the pond is full of decorative pond plants. I wonder if people leave them in while they swim because they'd get in the way. end
I don't know why but this bit made me laugh: I think if it was me I might wonder if it, the little thing, represented my inner voice. Sometimes I listen to it and think it's telling me the right things, but other times I hate it because it's the same voice that's told me not to do things that I should be able to do because of phobias etc, or sometime it might just get me into trouble... so I'd wonder if it represents my mixed feelings about it, like it's all nice and fluffy bunnyish sometimes, or even pretty like a bumble bee, but can still sting me as well. I would have been very tempted in the past, if I'd gad the opportunity to get it out in front of me, to whack it with a spade.
I didn't think of the inner voice but I did wonder if it was connected to some aspect of my personality. I think it could be my inner fears. In the dream I end up feeling guilty for having tried to hurt it even though it pretends to be something it is not (a protector?).
The dream suggests being in a state of mind reflecting a mental attitude or way of thinking that is very simple or simplistic in nature. (in a cabin) It implies a lack of sophistication and taking into account all complexities of a situation such as a more experienced individual might. Here this mental attitude appears in the context of a situation that may be “a last resort”. In this situation you are using an emotional aspect of your nature (represented by the animal) that was never meant by God for a human to be using (as this animal is not found in nature) The combination of bee and rabbit as seen here could suggest a feeling related to the idea of procreation (the rabbit) – one which “has all the markings” or indications of being busy in a way that is productive and valuable (as bees make honey) Noting particularly the long hind legs can suggest that the idea of procreation may stand upon past principles which are very long standing or enduring. The feet would put a focus upon the understanding being used where a feeling pertaining to procreation might be involved. It might be important to consider that this is an animal’s understanding and thus not a rational understanding. The long ears of a rabbit would imply hearing or listening in a way that works in God’s direction where a feeling pertaining to procreation might be involved. The shovel can suggest a situation in which “calling a spade a spade” may not be recommended yet here this could be recommended. (a shovel or spade) When calling a spade a spade you could proceed to whack or squelch a feeling represented by the rabbit-bee combination. The problem here appears to be that when attempting to squelch a feeling you have, you now see the feeling in terms of a human being. (it morphs into a tiny human) This would also imply seeing the feeling as if rational rather than irrational. This could be a perspective that can be greatly minimized or down played. Note that the term a tiny human could apply to a baby. When seen as a child, the original feeling, may leave you thinking logically (a male child) but very innocently - implying also very lacking in knowledge. This innocence has been identified as being wrong in your own mind (a black child). {This would apply if you are not black.} The child having the size of a child’s baby doll would imply that the aspect of yourself that lives this innocence can be evaluated in terms of putting you into a position to be manipulated. A ball bouncing off the male child could imply using some very innocent and uneducated logic as your sounding board. Throwing the ball to someone would suggest you might expect them to catch it and return it. In other words you may be “playing ball” with what appears as rational idea but the expected co-operation required is not forthcoming. Your innocence is also seen as putting you into a handicapped position (child sitting in a wheelchair). As this is a male child it can emphasize the idea of a tiny human giving you a mental handicap. “But you're a big kid." can imply that you are acting without all your intelligence when expecting to “play ball” with the idea of a tiny human – perhaps because it looks as if you could be abusing yourself when doing this. While the idea of a little human is not to be hurt or terminated, in this case the idea is not really what it appears to be. It comes of a feeling that is not God given here. Looking at a situation realistically (outside) you might want to look over your grounds of reasoning. (taking a tour of the grounds) Upon these grounds of reasoning there is a spiritual situation or body of spiritual knowledge (pond) that is obviously a man-made set-up. (cement pond) It may be spiritual knowledge in which you might enjoy exercising your imagination. (I would love to go swimming) The set-up contains logical ideas (plants) which serve a more decorative function than a useful one. These could get in a person’s way in such a situation.
Fascinating analogy. I especially resonated with this: I focus on politics and often feel marginalized by the political system here. The politicians with a lot of money connections, including the ones currently running for office, act like big kids and treat us like big kids. I wish they could see things from the working class position and feel belittled by their powerful political machines. I often wish I was a fly on the wall and could see and hear what goes on in those smoke filled rooms where the ones who really run things scheme and plot.
