This is the weirdest most vivid dream I have ever had so wanted to sign up and see if anyone can help me work out what it means.

I couldn't sleep at all last night, and don't remember at any point feeling drowsy and the the strangest series of events occured - my boyfried (who was asleep beside me at the time) got up and put on a DVD for me to watch to fall asleep to - His ex girlfriend came in (we are friends too) and sat down on the bed beside us. Al(the boyfriend) then sat up and started stroking her leg - I got up and walked out of the room into the kitchen because I was so disgusted by it and heard her saying "Al, what the hell do you think you're doing?" and she got up. I walked into the kitchen and there was an open fridge or freezer with icicles hanging from it and a toaster inside. I was distracted by the door bell ringing, and a friend of ours was at the door and needed a lift to the airport to get on a plane. so he and the ex girlfriend left. I walked in and asked Al and asked what he thought he had been up to. He started saying "Relax! You're so uptight! I only touched her leg!" I got really angry and started throwing things around the room, at which time Al got up and told me he had to go and get his Grannie from the train station!

I walked outside to get in his car to follow him so I could shout at hm some more, but when I got outside there was a guy fidling with the locks. I knew that the best thing to do was walk up to him shouting and scare him off, which I did - he began to run for about 5 seconds before stopping and turning back at me - he came for me and the car, but all he seemed to want to do was sit inside it and listen to the radio. Somebody had called the police, and 4 of them had turned up (looking a bit more like US marines the british coppers) and started laughing and telling me to let the man listen to the radio. They just ignored me and I was wrestling and fighting with this man trying to get him off me and the car. then I managed to get him on the floor and went to kick him in the nethers before I ran away - when I did, he made a really suggestive look at me and looked turned on by it. I picked up an object which I can only describe as a 9 iron golf club that was sharpened in the side and lashed out at him. I ended up cutting his hand off . . . this is when I realised that it wasn't actually real and woke up - but I felt appalled and when I rolled over I was so angry as I thought that Al had been touching up his ex girlfriend and wasn't there to help me beat of the man trying to steal the car. It was so vivid, down to faces, textures, sounds, angles I saw things from. . . I have no idea where to even begin with it!


Any help would be appreciated if anyone thinks they can!

I see some interesting contrasts. In the first paragraph, you see icicles in the freezer and then a toaster. This contrasts things hot and cold. Since the paragraph is about your boyfriend and his bizarre behavior toward your friend, my guess is this probably describes your relationship with him in reality--hot and cold.

There's also that contrast between the modes of transporatation---train and plane. This could be a contrast between being grounded and flight-y. Do you feel you are putting more into the relationship than he?

The second paragraph, I think, may be about your anger and conflict with authority and gender attitudes. Is there a male in your life that invokes fantasies about violence? A male you'd like to club over the head? Perhaps keeping a safe distance from this person is in order.
