Two nights ago, I had this dream. I was with my dad, my stepmom, and my stepsister. In the dream, my dad was an important military man, and the world was at war, these strange dinosaur-like creatures were trying to take over the world. Dad and my stepmom, and my stepsister, all hid in the basement of our house. Although currently, my little sister is not even three years old, in the dream she could talk and understand me. A part of me seemed to understand that the adults wouldn't be there for us for too much longer, so I said to her, "If there ever comes a time when mommy and daddy aren't here, and I say get the grass together, I need you to pack everything you might need together, quickly." I don't understand the grass part, I feel that means something. I had pulled her aside to tell her this, and, while we were talking, this huge leg appeared outside one of the basement windows. Dad and my stepmom ran out to protect us, and they didn't come back. My sister and I got very hungry, so when I felt it was safe, I told her to "get the grass together" and she packed a few things. We were cold and fearful, and then our family dog came into see us. While we were around him, near him, we felt secure and safe. We brought him with us, and went out to find and old military friend of my dad's (he doesn't really have a military friend, nor is he a military man). When we exited the house, everything around us was destroyed, except for the house. We found the man we were looking for, and I saluted him and told him that my father was an officer, and that he was probably dead, when he interupted me and said, "I know who your father is." My dad came out from behind him, grinning, but, instead of being happy, I was angry. I swore at him, something I don't normally do, and told him that we had waited six days for him to come back, but he never had. I told him we went hungry for him, while he was well-fed at a military base. I woke up soon after that.
It sounds like this dream might reflect some concerns that you have about growing older and taking on new responsibilities. A war against dinosaurs can represent a conflict with issues from your past. The dinosaurs could be old habits or qualites that could make it hard for you to fulfill your responsiblities. Grass could symbolise growth.
