There's this 4 bedroom house that I've really been wanting. In my dream my husband and I live there with our daughter, and I'm going upstairs and I see a door that has a large hole in it, and I don't realize until after I hear his voice that our friend (who we have just recently been reunited with after not seeing him for a few years) is in the room right in front of the door in just his boxers and is asking me to hand him some new clothes through the hole. For some reason the hole in the door feels important to me. I go get the clothes, don't even think about looking through the hole (in case he is indescent) when my sister sees me handing the clothes through, she goes and tells my husband that I'm having an affair! I for some reason go hide in the closet of the room our friend David is in because I don't want to get in trouble when I didn't do anything. As my husband opens the door and starts yelling I woke up. Any idea what this could mean?

I'm assuming that there isn't anything sexual going on between you and this friend and you aren't thinking about him that way, which is why you are surprised by the dream.

You could be concerned about him, though (maybe something to do with the situation that led to you losing touch), since you are giving him clothes in the dream.

The hole is interesting, as it is a means of access, but at the same time, it's restrictive - wouldn't it be easier to just open to door? So it sounds like you are trying to communicate something or to make a connection somehow, but you are not going about it the best way.

Sometimes, sex in a dream can have to do with incorporating some qualities of the other person into yourself, so maybe the idea of you having an affair with David has to do with you seeing some qualities in David that you notice in yourself or that you would like to develop, and that you are afraid if you do develop these qualities, it might bother your husband and/or other people around you.
