I dreamt that I was at some old TV western town, and these two cowboys riding on horses approach me. The leader of the two was blonde, mid-30s with a five o'clock shadow. He rides up close to me, looks at me and says, "Stay away from the anti-guns." I then turned to face his partner who was right behind me on his horse, and he pointed his shotgun at me which is hard to describe how it looked. It wasn't a shotgun in the traditional sense. The double-barrel was only about 6 inches long, but when the gun was pointed towards me, the barrel was facing in a left-right direction, as opposed to facing directly at me. In the center of the barrel was a circular opening where apparently the blast shot from. So his after the leader says, "Stay away from the anti-guns", and I turn to face his partner, who points his rifle at me and shoots. The loud blast woke me up. I have no idea who/what the "anti-guns" are. I don't own a gun, I don't hunt, and I don't keep up with the NRA.
I'm thinking that an anti-gun would be something that defends against a gun, so an anti-gun would be something that is supposed to protect you from harm. So " Stay away from the anti-gun" would mean be careful of someone who claims that they are protecting you or doing something for your own good. That goes with the idea of the gun with the barrel that points the wrong way - the person that gets injured isn't the one you are aiming for.
Interesting. I had this dream a few nights ago, and last month sometime someone very close to me who I care about alot started saying some nasty things about me to others. They don't know that I know what's being said, and I haven't confronted them about it yet. I admit that I hurt their feelings (though not intentionally), but I didn't expect utter defamation. I'm not sure if elaborating will help, but I'm wondering if there is a connection between this incident and my dream.
It sounds like it could be related. The odd-shaped gun in the dream does go with the idea of something dangerous that can't be trusted.
