Could someone tell me what this dream could mean? I dreamt about walking in my old school, and when I was walking there, there was this 35-40 man and his child walking around there. He seemed very agressive and he was yelling he wanted his 7up for his kid. I tried to hide at first, but then he saw me and asked me if I had a 7up with me, and I said no because I didnt, and then grabbed a gun and shot me. It sounds like a scary dream but it wasn't, it didnt even hurt or anything. The next minute I saw myself lying on the floor because I was actually standing next to it, but no one could see me. I felt peaceful and not scared or angry at the man at all. What could this mean?
Maybe the shooting part could be saying that a bit of your life will change, or come to an end, but it wont hurt or be nearly so bad as you might expect it to be? Or it could be saying that everything/anything that was bad about school in the past is now gone and can't bother you any more. I'm not sure about the 7UP bit, unless that drink has some personal meaning to you?
The man represents a mental aspect of yourself , and a way of thinking which could have the function of protecting the innocent aspect of yourself which is represented by the child. (man and his kid) This may be a way of thinking that you would like to avoid (I tried to hide), a way of thinking that is perceived by you as rather hostile, forceful or determined (seemed very aggressive) and very intent on being heard in your mind. If the man in this dream is much older than you, he can suggest a way of thinking that deserves some respect. The 7up soft drink, because it is clear and colourless, can be used in dreams to symbolize water. Thus the 7up can represent the idea of having a thirst for God and spiritual knowledge. What some aspect of your own mind seems to be so aggressively seeking to nurture your innocence with is the idea of God and spiritual knowledge. As you are unable to fulfill this request, you are mentally directing some powerful criticism at yourself. (he grabbed a gun and shot me) This apparently is giving you no emotional pain.( it didn’t even hurt) Standing next to your body which is lying on the ground can imply that the spiritual-mental aspect of yourself has not been hurt by the self criticism – but the emotional aspect of yourself (the body) has been hurt. Lying on the floor can also suggest a situation in which you lying down on the job – in this case the job of providing the innocent aspect of yourself with a thirst for God and spiritual knowledge.
