I was helping my son's ex girlfriend set up her apartment. (I don't know if she was his ex or his current in the dream; it didn't seem to matter) It was a section of a large warehouse. The apartment had no walls but did have a front door. Most of her items were mine because I had given them to her. I was laying a soft warm blanket as a rug. The room looked nice, colours coordinated--reds and browns. We moved things that didn't belong there out into the warehouse. Then someone else was also moving into the warehouse and those items got mixed in with Andrea's. Her colours were brighter, orange and yellow. I liked them. I complained and the other tenant started moving them over to her side. Men were moving items on shelf trolleys. One trolley was full of discs that probably were valuable and I felt it was a shame to move them out to storage where they would probably get lost but they weren't mine so I let them go.

I am wondering why my son's ex was in my dream although when I look at it, she wasn't very prominent in the dream. Also I thought we do not dream in colour but the colours in my dream were vivid. This was not a nightmare but I have been feeling the dream quite a bit since I woke up. Any help figuring this dream out would be appreciated. Thank you.

The first thing I think of when I read your dream is that it has to do with not having control over your life. You rare trying to put Andrea's apartment in order, and this other person gets the things mixed up. Plus the fact that you thought it was a shame to move the discs but you didn't have control over that, because they weren't' yours.
