Heya, I'm new. I'm really into dreams and suchnot. Usually I can interpret my own, but this symbolism puzzles me.

First of all, I got a horse in the dream. This is the fifth dream I've had about that.

Then a completely unrelated chain of events: I go to this "rescue" for animals of sorts, which isn't a rescue at all. All the animals are sick and dying, so I go to yell at the owner. He doesn't care, I get really mad, he tells me to keep it hush-hush because it's a secret. Oddly enough, when I was talking to him, it was in this fancy office thing, and he looked fairly wealthy himself. Anyway, me and five (what is it with the number five in my dreams lately?) other protestors get locked up somewhere for protesting. He said anyone who tries to get out will get killed.

A day later, he comes and says "I'll let you guys out, but one of you has to die, and it's going to be YOU" and he points at me. He puts this... bomb-ish lit kind of thing of sorts in my hand and explains to me if I leave the room with this in my hand, it'll explode. He walks away. I tell the others to leave, then I throw the bomb behind me and run. We all get out.

One of the people exposed him to the cops, he gets in trouble, yadda. We all start taking the animals we want from the "Shelter."

It then switches to later when I'm showing my friend my new pets: Another leopard gecko (I already have two), and a... scorpion. In the same cage. She says "Won't it hurt them?" And I say "Nah, he won't sting them. He'll act like he's gonna, but he wont." The new gecko skitters by the scorpion; the scorpion raises its tail like it's going to attack, but it doesn't.

    The end.

If it's too confusing and vague, tell me.

It seems to me that the dream is showing that you are frustrated by someone's behavior, perhaps by someone's hypocrisy. The scorpion that acts like it will attack, but doesn't, could also symbolize frustration and feeling powerless.

Heh heh, yep... dead on. I am indeed very frusterated with my room mate and her rudeness.... *sigh* Thanks!

If it bothers you that much that it is appearing in your dreams, I think you need to deal with the problem in real life, if you aren't already.

Hello Aberrant, i have no experience interpreting dreams but maybe your experience of interpretations can help me. i saw the title of your dream "scorpions, bombs, hostages." That had to have been very disturbing. I had 3 dreams this morning before waking. I almost never have dream recall. And dreams for me are never scary. All of these 3 involved lots of anxiety. I woke up feeling just miserable and hopeless. One dream was just too short to think much about, so I wont tell it. but the other 2 went on and on. The first one is me in the home i grew up in. I am not a kid there, but i am a adult woman like now. I am running and hiding from room to room trying to avoid being found by men in the house who are trying to find me and kill me. Kill me for no apparent reason. They have weapons that are scary like large sharp curved knives. I am trying to get out of the home and run away but cant. I continue to be trapped in the house. i end up going into another dream but never escape that house till the dream is done.
In the 2nd dream, i am in a business/ retail food store. Its a huge company. i cant get out. all the people who work there are very nice but no help. they keep telling me ways to get out, but none of the ways work. there are several floors in the building and i go from floor to floor trying tø find a way out. the dream finaly ends, but i have not found a way out even then. ANy thoughts? PS-- I have been stalked for the last year and one half. There is no hope for a legal order to go through and keep the person stalking me away. I think these dreams are just confirming my anxiety with the situation.
