So the other night I had a school dream. But it's not as bad as you would think....although it is confusing. Okay, first you have to know, in my English class, a few of my friends and I kind of have this little rivalry with a couple guys. Like, we're always competing to see who gets to the seats first (me and my friends always win), but for some reason in this dream, the two guys beat me and my friends. So then I got a seat and my friend Mike had to sit like four or five seats away which really bummed me out, so then I was trying to trick the guys into moving and trying to convince them to move and stuff. And the whole time, my friend Mike is just looking at me and kinda smiling. It was like, no matter what, I HAD to sit by Mike. It was so odd....especially since he and I are just really good friends (and nothing more). Any ideas on what this means?
You're in a language class which consists of words and spelling and communication, etc. You have to sit by "Mike." A "mike" is also a word for microphone. Since you are in an English class, it could mean you wish to be heard and get your words to a general audience. You're tired of keeping things in. Getting a "seat" could be metaphor for "getting a seat at the table," an expression which also means a wish to be heard and have your opinions and ideas expressed.
