I remember going outside my work and seeing a robot. it was a woman, and she had black hair. She was real tall, and I remember trying to kiss her.

A lot of the sites say that either my perspective of my work is mechanical, or i'm living mechanically period, and unaware of my emotions. I'm a myers-briggs INTP, but i consider myself to be making strides in the emotional area.

so i'm asking, what other insights do you have?

Well, since you tried to kiss her in the dream, I don't think you are completely unaware of your emotions. I think the dream could be about you trying to become closer to other people and develop better relationships. A robot might resemble a human being but is really just a tool. So the dream could be about seeing people as people with their own minds, rather than seeing them in only in relation to what they can do for you. When you tried to kiss her, could you have been trying to bring her to life?

Going outside your work (leaving your work behind) could also have to do with developing better emotional awareness.,

Since you mentioned her black hair, do you think that is significant? Did she remind you physically of anyone you know in waking life?

She was directing people, this robot. And no, she didn't remind me of anyone I know. And no, i wasn't trying to bring her back to life. How do you figure that the dream could be about seeing people as people with their own minds?

I probably worded it badly. I meant that recognizing that other people have their own needs, desires and goals that have nothing to do with your needs, desires and goals. Part of developing relationships is being able put yourself in the mind of the other person and try to understand what it is that they want, without it having anything to do with you want.

A robot is different because, even though it may have a high level of intelligence and be able to do a lot of things, it's still just a tool and only does the things that its user wants it to do. Basically, it wants what you want. You are never going to find another human being who wants everything that you want.

Maybe you wish that other people were like that?
