Hi,

I have a repetitive dream, which I have had since moving into my house that I bought about 10 years ago.

I go down into a basement (my home doesn't really have one, I have a cellar as the house is 100 years old) and through a couple of doors and there is all kinds of treasure down there. Not like silver and gold, like apliances. Washers, dryers, ranges/stoves, refridgerators. Antiques like dining table sets, desks, cabinets, etc. pretty things. Various antique decrative stuff. An old garage and an old car.

Its my house, but not my house in that it doesn't have rooms like that, or alleyways, or the same yard, etc.

I have had the same dream or variations of it for 10 years, probably 5-6 times a year. Always down in the basement.

Other than the thought of "that would look nice upstairs" or "I could use one of those" I just don't know why I keep dreaming about the same thing.

I can understand dreaming about things you might want to have, but what I don't get is why it is all in my "basement".

I think the basement in the dream probably represents memories and experiences you have had in your life. It would help if you remembered the particular things in the basement that you observe in your dreams, and if they have changed when you have been dreaming at different times in your life.
