I keep seeing these two same places. One is a grassy hill on the side of the road and the other is a giant mall type of thing. The first time I saw these places, they were in separate dreams. But recently I saw them in the same dream. The first time I saw the hill, I was with my friends and we were going to have a picnic. These were the same friends I had (in real life) planned to go summer clothes shopping with. (It was a big deal for us; dont ask.) I don't really remember much of what happened on the hill the next time I saw it, but I remember it led me to the mall thing I had seen in an eariler dream. The mall was built in three stories with enclosures and openings that had fountains and no ceiling, but a walkway and staircases. The first floor was all stores, the third was a giant restaurant and the second was a bunch of indoor pools. I always seemed to find myself on the second one. The architecture of the mall was exactly the same both times I was there, which was strange considering how often my dreams vary in background style. Both times I was running around the second floor for one reason or another. (Indoor pools = slippery floors. Says much about my common sense) The first time, I was with my friend Sara and we were trying to find a bathroom. We eventually realized there wasn't one on the second floor so we went to the first and I finally found one. The second time, I was running around trying to find my little brother. (I happen to be an only child) If anyone can help me out here, I'd really appreciate it. This is the first time I've had recurring scenery in my dreams.

My guess is the reason you are having repeating settings is because they represent something that your subconscious is trying to tell you and may be having difficulty coming up with an alternative that you would grasp. In the hill dream, you say you and your friends are going shopping for clothes. In malls, people shop and it's a great place to hang out with friends. So, I see a material and social aspect to the scenes. Pools sometimes represent emotions. Do you recall any emotional feelings in these dreams? What was your mood? Is one of your goals to have more material things and more friends to share them with?
Well, regarding the clothes shopping, the reason it was a big deal for us was because we hardly ever see each other and when we actually get a chance to plan a date where all of us (4, in all) can just have a fun time, well, we get pretty excited. Also, in both pool dreams, I was pretty anxious. That's the only emotion I guess I can relate to both situations I was in. I was anxious in the first one because I couldn't seem to find a restroom and I was anxious in the second because I couldn't find my (nonexistant) brother. Thank you for your help!
