I'm not one to have recurring dreams; I have dreams everynight that I remember, and only once have I had one more than once. It was the exact same dream, and I've had it three times, each about a year apart. So I was wondering if y'all could help me figure it out? I'm at my house in the backyard, which is divided into an upper patio (where a hill I've never seen before is in the dream) and a lower-level with a swimming pool. I'm on the patio when the ghost of a nine-year-old girl appears asking me for help. At this point, I have difficulty remembering what transpired through the entire dream, but I know I had to follow the ghost girl around my entire home, neighborhood, and eventually ended up in my back yard again. While in my home, much of my family is enjoying BBQ and talking happily. They don't believe me when I tell them I am helping a ghost. By the time I arrive home again, they can finally see the ghost and believe my claim. She thanks me for helping her and says she will leave, probably to a 'better place,' but I've never stayed asleep long enough to see her actually go. Some background to bear in mind: I've lived in the same house my entire life. My home in my dream was no different from my real-life one besides the hill by the upper patio. I dislike my father's side of the family, which was over for Father's day in the dream. I have already looked up ghosts in the dream dictionary, but this girl was definately NOT me. There's also been discussion amongst believers in the paranormal who have been in my house - we might actually have a ghost. But that's still up in the air.
Since some people in your family have been talking about ghosts, it makes sense that you could have been thinking about them so the ghost would appear in your dream. Why do you think the ghost is definitely not you? Does she remind you of anyone you know? Is there anything about the ghost that is very different from you?
