I'll start this off by saying I'm in the Army, and this is a dream I had two nights ago
And I can't get it out of my head

I was on a prisoner work crew because I was captured by the enemy,
and me and my men had to build a bridge for vehicles to cross a ditch,
we where is raged multicam uniform pants and our tan t-shirt also torn up some,
when we where done I took a drink of water, and a enemy came up behind me and
he put me in a hold so I couldn't move but could watch, and I had to watch 7 men
which made up my team get shot and then he threw me into the ditch, shot both my
legs twice with a large caliber pistol, then he took out a .22 caliber pistol and shot me
in my right arm, twice in the chest, one grazed my head, and one went through my ear
grazing me neck, and I could feel my ear filling with blood, the pain was so much it was almost
Comforting, at this point I was holding my left ear, the one that was shot, and was beginning
to have difficulty breathing, the enemy came up and placed the barrel of the pistol over my heart,
and was saying insulting, and taunting words, I was barely able to say, no, go way, leave me alone,
he was about to pull the trigger and something happened to him and I heard a familiar voice then it
was over.

I could use some help with a meaning with this one. And other opinions

Well, since you are in the Army, this dream would at least partly be about real fears of things that could happen to you. However, being captured and shot in your dream could also mean that you feel that someone is controlling you and hurting you - not necessarily physically, but maybe manipulating you and hurting you mentally or emotionally.
