I am currently contemplating a career change into acting and TV and I had
this dream which could be refering to this career choice.
In the dream myself and a male friend are in a TV studio and we were
meant to take part in the TV show that took place. To my surprise the
director of the show was my former landlord whose aprtment I rented
about six months ago...in reality the man is well off and into the real-estate
business. I was nervous and ecited as expected while waiting to enter
the show. I was at the back sorting out what shirt to wear (lack self-confidence).
So in the meantime the director let my friend get on the show first, but he
only let his face be shown to the audience and the rest of his body was
covered...so he was like speaking to the audiene through a long slot and
as wide as his face only.... for some reason. I didn't get to participate at
the show but I said to myself that it is good cause I will expose myself
gradually and build confidence.
That is it.
Any idea why the dream turned the real-estate business man into a TV director?
what is the message here for me? thanks

Well, real estate makes me think of material security,and that could be a concern regarding a career change into acting and TV. The dream could be reflecting a concern about how you will pay your bills and afford a place to live.

Your friend getting on the show but not you could have to do with you wanting to see what it is like but not being ready to take on the risk/responsibility yet.
