Hi, I've had a very stressful night and woke up with a strange sense of being exhausted from dreaming. The dream takes place on an island; I just know it is an island although I never see the sea around it. It is an arctic island covered in snow and ice. There are loads of people that I don't know on the island and we are all engaged in some kind of race or competition. Everyone has different kinds of transports; slays drawn by people, slays drawn by dogs, odd looking scooters, skies etc. All along I remember feeling stressed and rushing - like there was something I had forgotten to do or that I was late. I also remember thinking that I hate competitions or races, so why did I participate. I also hate snow and ice and felt panic about being on the island. We are all slip sliding along without getting to the finish line. The general dream mood is frustration.
Did you have a dream like this before, quite a while ago? It sounds really familiar, perhaps is was someone else though, or even me. Anyway is there something you're struggling with at the moment, where you're having difficulty finding your feet - so to speak - like in the dream with the slipping and sliding, whrere you don't feel fully confident in your abilities?
Race on arctic island Hi and thank you for your response. Well, I did have a dream about competing in some kind of marathon a while back, but that dream had an altogether different feel and that experience was a pleasant one. Hm, I suppose there are several situations where I have little or no footing. I am useless at communicating emotions in a spontanious manner, for one. I sense things very strongly but do not show it which does make me feel both "frozen" and "isolated" which I suppose could be symbolized by an arctic island. I don't know.
