Just been reading about it, linked from the front page. Anyone here have any thoughts or opinions? Perhaps you believe you were Mary Queen of Scots or a bevin boy darn pit. To add my 2 pennies worth; I'm not sure I do believe it, but my mind is open to the idea. I do have a reason for keeping my mind open on the subject. You see, as a child I used to talk of living in a past life. From the age of 3 or 4. I'd talk about my life, that I lived with my mother and grandma. I talked about my death under the wheels of a horse and cart. Whether the product of a lucid imagination, the influence of a television program or true recolections, I don't know what I was on. But it's meant I'm perhaps more willing to believe it then not. What are your thoughts?
It's a funny subject really; it seems most people are willing to accept the idea of reincarnation but look at you all funny when you start talking about past lives, which is sort of the same thing, but not exactly.
no-one takes you seriously when you talk about your 'past lives'/reincarnation... i find it quite interesting though...
I think it's because most people think this life is strange enough and hard to figure as it is, without trying to get their head around previous existences....
I think it could be because when people talk about their past lives, they often make their past selves some famous or important person, like a great warrior or royalty or an important historical figure, or someone who was close to one of these people. It just makes the person seem like they're trying to inflate their own egos. I mean, if you did have a past life, it would more likely have been as a trash collector than as the Queen of Spain.
lol. some people just talk about their past lives as a 'joke' and when other people talk about their past lives seriously, then not many people take it seriously.
