Hello everybody. This is my first post here, hoping to get some input on what you think a recent dream could mean.

In my dream, I'm painting the inside of my front door white. I'm using a roller, starting at the top and working my way down.

About halfway through I look into the paint bucket and notice all kinds of garbage. I wonder how I could have missed seeing that.

I try to continue painting, but now when I run the roller across the door I can see all sorts of gross hair mixed in. This is where the dream ends.

Any thoughts?

I think doors in dreams stand as entrance way to a new stage in life. Since you are painting the inside of the front door that means that it opens to the outside and that signifies your need to be more accessible to others when your life is changing and i'm guessing that if the paint in getting covered in garbage and hair means that something is messing with your plan to make a smooth transition to the next stage.

Are you going through any big changes or have any big changes happening in the future? Is something holding your back or trying to ruin something for you?

I was also thinking of a door as something that blocks everything out, keeps you from whatever is on the other side and the color white can also refer to a blank slate, a new chance to do whatever you want with your life. With that in mind i was thinking that maybe you are maybe fixing problems from your past and trying to start new and forget about everything but something is holding your back and trying to ruin that blank slate with the mess or the problems from the past. Is this making any sense to you?

I agree that the door could represent an entrance to a new stage in your life. Since you are painting the door to your new phase in life, but ignoring the garbage all around you, the dream could be a message that you need to deal with problems that you are having now before you can move on.
