I'm observing a diving team bring up relics from the bottom of the sea. A couple of things I remember were an old television consol (the kind with the tv in a big wooden stand like a box), and big tall rubber boots like the kinds fishermen wear. I also remember something about a talking cat giving orders. Then I'm watching an ad about soldiers on the battle field. One soldier gets into a vehicle to see if it is booby-trapped. It blows up. Then a man is hiding behind a plastic sheet covering what looked like an abandoned car. There were no windows in the car and he was hiding on one end of the car and the cops were chasing him and started firing their guns on the guy. the end
Lots of impressions in one As, Im sure you already know; relics from the sea could be ol' hidden emotions of some sort. Are you a water dreamer of type? Myself, more than half my dreams take place underwater or neck deep in watery emotions. About the tele-vision; its old, no? And could therefore be seen as it used to be seen in the begining; as tele vision; watching something at a far or as an eye into your livingroom i e something that could see the viewer as well as vice versa. I'm more curious about the boots. The cat giving orders, is it wearing boots too´? And are you aware of the story HC Andersen story of the cat in boots? (fairytale of talking cat). I guess boots are what you wear not to get wet; or keeping the wet or the emotions out? Like a protective mechanisme or simply a shield of some sort. What is the ad about? Do you know? Is it a trailor for something to come or an actual ad for something? Is there any one in the dream that looks familiar to you? //K
Wow, thanks. I didn't even make that hidden emotions/sea diving connection. Funny, I probably would have with someone else's dream. It's like that for me. Thinking back, several days ago I was on another message board and someone mentioned the old tv series "Laugh In." It was an American comedy/variety show from the late 1960's. I remember watching it with the whole family. It was a weekly treat and it brought back memories. I think this partly inspired the part in the dream about finding the old relic tv set. Longing for the good old days certainly fits as well---the "tele-vision." Yeah, the part about the boots feels accurate. I put up an emotional wall sometimes to avoid facing fears and feelings of inferiority. I have an awful complex when it comes to that. About the Anderson story, would that be "Puss in Boots?" I think the talking cat was inspired in part from my real-life cat who drives me crazy, and wanting to be more assertive--like the cat that does its own thing.
