The beginning is the part that I can't seem to remember clearly. I know I was in a crowded place, like a party or a hearing or something important. I just didn't really know what for exactly. I remember that someone remarked that I had cancer and then suddenly everyone was paying attention. All of a sudden I'm being rushed out by someone; not a doctor but a man in a suit who tells me that I need to hide. I ask him what's going on and he responds by pointing to a house out on a hill. Then I wake up. It's half past 7:00 in the morning. I close my eyes and try to fall asleep again. Now I'm inside of a house with two other people -- a man and a woman. The house is weird though because it looked empty except for some weird scientific equipment lying in a corner of one room we were guided into by the man. Somehow he convinces us to test out the "machine". The woman is the first to go and the man plants those wires that read your brain waves or whatever. After a while she starts to fall asleep, but then she starts to cry about how she's in pain so I take her away from the machine. We're trying to find a door but now there are no exits and the man simply laughs saying, "No one can leave this place..." I wake up again. 9:15 in the morning. I tell myself that I can sleep for a little while longer. So I fall back asleep again. Now I see that there is a door that takes us outside. Next thing I know I'm driving down a street. I'm looking for a place to eat and the woman recommends something fancy. I park the car and next thing you know I'm talking to the guy inside the restaurant. I politely ask for a table for two and the guy just gives me a blank expression. I reiterate myself and then he snaps back to reality. I comment on how the service here is unbelievable and he tells me that I should have been clear the first time. Then he takes us to our table, which ends up being a machine, the same one from before.
About the cancer, do you feel that there is something negative in your life that is eating away at you? Is there something in your life making you feel trapped? The part about the machine that reads brain waves makes me think about issues of communication and understanding - which are causing someone pain.
