Hello everyone! I'm new here. I've come here for some help on maybe figuring out some of my dreams, the majority of my dreams just don't make sense to me, some are hilarious and some are just down right scary. One in particular which has been a recurring dream for a few years now, it would be nice if someone could help me understand it. It's not a dream i have every night, just one, that i KNOW for certain i've experienced before. Before i start, i must point out, this is not a lucid dream, it feel's like reality to me, as do most of my dreams. So...here goes. The dream starts off with me and one of my close friends, i remember feeling quite safe with her there. There is another person with us, but this person is completely random, i never remember the face, i don't think i even look at the face. We go into this HUGE abandoned building in the woods, there's nothing in it except for rubble. We enter a room and it looks like we're now in the sewers. Suddenly all the lights go off and it's pitch black, suddenly i'm all alone, my friend has dissapeared and so has the random, i'm all alone in this pitch black building, i call out for my friend but there's no reply. Now this is the weird part, i remember thinking to myself in the dream that the only lights connected to this building are on the outside, which means someone turned them off from the outside, so i would have to try and find my way all the way through the building in the pitch black. I started to panic uncontrollably. Then i woke up. Any ideas on what this could mean? :rasta:
As these are recurring dreams, it would help if you would remember when you have them - if you remember anything important in your life going on at the time. I think the random stranger represents a part of your personality that has been hidden from you. The friend may also represent a quality in yourself. Is it the same friend or a different one each time? The part where you find yourself alone in the dark sounds like unconscious telling you that you are going to have to face something or deal with a problem on your own. Thinking that you are in the dark because someone turned the lights off from outside could mean that you are think your problems are caused by something that is outside your control.
