Dreams about being chased or attacked are supposed to be the most common type of dream, but I don't remember ever having had a dream like that. Is there anyone else who has never had a dream about being chased or attacked, or am I abnormal (because of that - not because of other things that might make me abnormal )
Actually Ive had ONE dream that I was being chased, and it was very recent. But last night, I had a dream where I was in Paris [and if you've seen the movie Taken] and I knew I was being hunted to be Taken and it was terrifying knowing that. Have you ever had anything where you knew you were in trouble?
If I had a dream about being in trouble it was probably something boring like forgetting to do something or about being late for something. But I guess by being "in trouble" you mean something much more dramatic.
Do you have dreams of falling? I have an audio book on dreams and dreaming and they said that if you have dreams about falling, you hardly ever have dreams about being chased, and visa versa. I recall having dreams about both, but more often of falling.
and yet another dream.. My friend is pregnant, and she is using methodone [prescribed by the doctors to ween her off of roxycodone , terrible I know] She is due in just a month and I had a dream she had the baby at the house, and refused to go to the hospital as much as I begged her... her mom is a drug addict too [in real life] an was too high in my dream to tell her to go. When the baby came out she just cleaned him and wrapped him in a blanket, would hold him without supporting his neck and even tried to make him walk. Then somewhere in my dream, she go tup to take a shower and left the baby sleeping, and his FOOT fell off [from the force of making him walk] I keep having multiple dreams at night and WEIRD... anyone wanna explain this one?
Sweet Slumber, I don't have dreams about falling, except for the myoclonic jerk things where you hallucinate that you are falling somewhere just as you are falling asleep, then you jerk yourself awake. I wouldn't consider that a dream though. I had dreams about flying when I was younger. I have dreams about going in elevators/lifts a lot, but mostly going up, not down. Jess, I think your dream just means you are worried about your friend and her unborn baby. It's normal for women who are pregnant - even women who are in perfect health - to have nightmares about terrible things being wrong with the baby. In this case, you're not the one who's pregnant, but it's probably on your mind a lot even when you're not consciously thinking about it. As long as she is taking care of herself the best she can and you are giving her emotional support, I don't think there is much more you can do.
