I usually don't remember my dreams, however I had one this morning that I vividly remember. I don't know the meaning of it but figure that if it was that vivid it's something that I need to understand so here it goes: I was in the woods, it was very lush, a brilliant green and there was a drinking hole {pond?} to the right. I walked around the pond back to where I started, I started toward the pond again and noticed that everything was now gray scale {black & white} As i got closer to the watering hole I noticed that it was all dried up except for a small pile of snow in the center of the pond. Next I seen what appeared to be a mother fox with her kit, they appeared to be scrappy, starving and seemed to be bleeding, so I silently turned away so as not to disturb them and started making my way back through the woods. As I got back to where I started in the dream I felt a presence on both sides ( I felt it was the foxes but am not positive on this} I swung out to my right almost hitting my wife and that was when I awoke. Is there anyone that might have an idea what this may mean?
The foxes sound like they represent something in you or something in your life that has been neglected and needs care. It's interesting that in your dream you walked away from them and tried not to disturb them instead of trying to help. Could that be how you are treating a problem that you have in waking life? Ignoring it so that it gets worse and worse - the foxes will starve to death - instead of facing it and trying to make it better. Foxes are associated with trickery and deceit so that there could be the added meaning that by trying to deceive yourself you are only hurting yourself.
