There are a number of things in my dreams that seem to remain constant despite the settings. Often times I feel an urgent need to go somewhere. I'm not sure where, or why, I just need to go. Also as strange as it may sound a few days ago I had a dream that involved no visual information at all, it was based solely on my sense of touch. I was laying down, partly submerged it water, searching for something with my hand.

As of late my dreams seem to have taken a more radical turn. I don't know how to explain it, but I know what my dreams are like in general, at least I know if they were really out of the ordinary when I wake up, even if I can't really recall them. Lately they've been very out of sorts, leaving me with odd feelings when I awake. If this has something to do with something being repressed it my be pretty darn deep, as far as I know I don't have any ginormous problems. I have emotional shifts just like other people, but nothing major, I feel pretty balanced in my waking life really.

Maybe the urgent need to go somewhere is your unconscious telling you that you should be striving for more. Maybe you shouldn't be satisfied with what you've got; you should want more than just being content.

Searching for something without being able to see is also related to that theme.

Have you been having these dreams for many years? They might be related to your time of life.

Waking up feeling out of sorts could also have to do with your unconscious trying to hint to you that something isn't right or that should change.

Maybe part of the reason you feel balanced in waking life is that you are relegating any thoughts of change to when you are asleep.
