It was about 4 years ago,
and I was worried that night about getting special long term medical insurance in case I needed to be hospitalized in my later days. My late Dad had suffered with Alzheimer's Disease before his death and it was something that concerned me. I wondered if I would ever need that type of care.

That night when I slept, I think it was just before dawn, I dreamed
about my death. It was my father there talking to me and he told me
that it was not good for one to know exactly when they would die,
but I would pass away in the year 2022, or actually perhaps a couple
years after that. He told me that I would never need long term hospital insurance, so I did not sign up for it. As to not needing the insurance...I hope the dream was right! I am already a grandfather myself, so it is not like
I expect to live forty years!

    Two problems here:

    1. Not all dream predictions come true.

    2. Unless your Dad was in the health insurance business, he may not have understood what "long term" means in that context.

    Two more problems:

3, The coverage ain't cheap and ain't getting any cheaper, especially as you pick up even the mild infirmities of age; and,

    4. I've met some pretty young grandfathers.

I respect both dreams and personal interpretations; but this might be worth a second look.

    thanks for reply

Thank you, Bob, I appreciate your answer.

Of course, I don't really think I communicated with my late father...
but I expect that my mind used his voice to give me a message.
Will I die in 2022-2025? Maybe. Will I not need long term care? Maybe.

I am betting that the dream...however it got it's information, is correct.

And I have had dreams and thoughts which have come to me in the past,
that seem to have come true, for whatever reason.

And as you say it is expensive, and I hope not to need long term help so
that I am not a burden to my relatives.

Dear Springdale, my father suffered from Parkinson”s and died a year and a half ago. My mother is currently in advanced stages of Alzheimer’s. They both required care in long-term medically-equipped facilities with round-the-clock trained nursing, so I understand your worries.

Although I agree with what has been said that dreams are not necessarily predictive, they do have the uncanny property of revealing those feelings which we often recognize as being the most genuine (even when we don’t like them).

In the case of our departed loved ones appearing in our dreams, it’s prudent to heed their wisdom. Whether that wisdom comes from a spirit Beyond the Veil or whether it comes from a perspective instilled in us during life (by that same departed loved one), it has some value, great or small you must judge. Furthermore, if there was something your father had taught you contrary to his advice in the dream, then his words would not have resonated with you as they did.

As for the year of your passing, remember that time and space are relative, and it’s probably rather fuzzy on the Other side in regards to time. I would pay more attention to the numbers, especially 2, than to an actual date.

    Good luck and Blessings.

Have you thought of the possibility that this is a wish fullfillment dream - you don't want to ever be in a position where you will have needed longterm care insurance?

Thanks to Marcia and all of you who responded to my dream!
I hope the dream is accurate when it says that I will not need the
    insurance!
