I did accomplish a great deal yesterday, overcame major obstacles, so that could account for me flying in my dream. But, the thing about this dream was that my daughter was with me and it ended badly. At first, well my dreams often change scenes and get weird, so this part is nothing new to me, but we were on a runway. No we weren't in a plane. We were outside and there was a pilot who took us from one runway to another. Then, she started to go in reverse faster and faster. The next thing I knew, we had taken off in reverse. At this point, the pilot is gone and it's just my daughter and I flying with our own wings made of wood. We each had a set of wings and they had to be held in front of us like we were boogie boarding in the ocean or something. We were flying freely, meaning we weren't flying as if stuck together, but we were flying like two birds would fly as a team. The journey we were on felt like it was going to be long. But, I spotted my mother and father on the ground and had intentions of visiting them before going on this long journey. I couldn't just come down where I was so I lifted above a wall and found myself on top of someone's house. My daughter followed and there we both were on top of this house. So, I had thought that we were going to have to jump off the house to keep ourselves in flight and then land down where my mother and father were. But, I had hesitations because, I don't know, I'm human and I like to think before I do...especially when it comes to doing something like jump off the top of a house with a piece of wood as my only lifeline. Anyway, my daughter has no hesitation. As she jumps off the house, I see that she is holding her wings sideways and that's not how we were supposed to do it. I rush to the edge of the roof and she is on the ground. She was crying and then she started to hold her left leg. That's when I woke up and haven't been able to get back to bed since. If anyone wants to give this one a try, feel free.
This reminds me of the expression "jumping in with both feet." Do you feel your daughter is impulsive and does things first without thinking? Do you worry about her safety?
