I was hoping someone could help me with this dream I had a few weeks ago, it keeps playing on my mind because to me there seems to be no clear meaning from it...
I started off walking to work (which in reality is a 10 minute easy walk from my flat) and was climbing a big hill, it was a real struggle but gradually turned into wooden steps which was easier and when I eventually reached the top I was on a tiny viewing platform which I somehow knew was at the top of the biggest hill in the area. I admired the view of the country side for a while although it was quite foggy then I went to climb down the steps on the other side but there was a wooden small ladder instead and some oher people, a family of about 5 wanting to climb up, they could not speak English, I think they were Indian but were all talking at the same time so I couldnt understand. They stopped to let me past first but I was scared of going down the ladder so went really really slowly with the family helping me. As I was climbing down a camera crew appeared from the way I had come with a tv presenter that I recognised from kids tv when I was young. The presenter started to shout at me that they were in a rush and I panicked and had to go even slower. The presenter pushed past me and she ran off but the crew were nice and let me carry on. When I got to the bottom I was near a small monkeys enclosure that I knew was Colchester Zoo and chased after the presenter because I was cross that she had pushed me. I couldn't find her anywhere so decided I should carry on to the college where I knew I needed to meet someone but there was no way out of the zoo. Then I noticed another small ladder which I climbed down to find the shopping area of Colchester, after walking a bit I found another ladder which led me down to all the houses then another down to the college which was attached to Colchester uni.
Thats the end of what I remember.
The wierd thing is that I don't live any where near Colchester, I used to go to the zoo when I was little every birthday but its been easily 15 years sincethe last time. One of my friends does work at the uni but I knew I had to get to the college which I have never even heard of before! I have just finished a qualification but I did it through work not at a college... I don't know if my details are important but Im a 25yr old female.

The fact that you were at a place (Colchester Zoo) that you used to visit every year on your birthday makes me think that this dream is about the path you are taking through life and the changes that you are going through, the way that when you celebrate a birthday, you think about the changes you went through that year and what is in store for the upcoming year.

Climbing a hill can represent overcoming struggles in waking life.

In the dream, you get to the top of the hill and you are enjoying the view, but then you have trouble going down the ladder and you have trouble communicating with people. This could have to do with a fear of changing and not fitting in with old friends or family, not being able to go back to the way you were. Since you just got a qualification, I suppose you are starting or thinking about starting a career, and, based on your age you may be starting or planning to start o a permanent relationship as well Could that have anything to do with it?

The TV presenter is also a symbol from your childhood, like the zoo, and could represent the way you have grown and changed. Is there anything about this particular person that could be relevant?

Wow...that makes perfect sense to me! I have just ended a 3 year relationship due to mistrust involving a friend, I have been considering restarting the relationship but this will cause difficulties within my friendship group as they do not understand my reasons for being able to take him back but not forgive the friend. My qualification means I have the option to try a new job but it will involve moving away from everything I know.
Thank you so much for the interpretation, hopefully another dream will provide all the answers for me!
