    Was this a question that you were really seeking an answer to in waking life? If so, it is no wonder you would be overjoyed upon finding out that you have the answer. When you dream, your amygdala (the part of your brain where emotions are processed) tends to be very active so emotions are heightened.

    Other than that, I don't think you can really pinpoint what caused the experience. Orgasm? Drugs/medication? Reaction to a certain food or change in diet? Hormonal issues?

    Did it affect how you felt the following day, physically or mentally?

    Flying dreams can have to do with freedom, so the dream could have been telling you that you already know how to solve a problem that you have that has been constraining your freedom.

    The extreme reaction could also have been related to any of the physical causes I mentioned above.

    Why did you mention that you are extremly introverted? Are you oversensitive to stimuli in general?
