I've had a ton of dreams over the years that exclusively involve other people, and I'm not even in them. Sometimes they're people I recognize, but sometimes not.

Like, for example, once I had a very long, repetitive dream of a little girl with blonde hair and blue dress climbing up a never-ending staircase inside a castle tower. Ever though it was in first-person perspective, I could see when I looked down that I was this little girl, and inside, it wasn't my thoughts or feelings. It was another person entirely. I also had one where it was in first person again, but this time I was Ringo Starr being chased by vampires.

I'll also occasionally have a dream that's actually a "movie", starring real actors. For example, I had one (really cool one) where Leonardo DiCaprio was some sort of detective and Jet Li was a Yakuza member terrorizing a city, and DiCaprio had to stop him, with the help of Bruce Willis, who played a rogue ex-detective. It had an intricate plot and dialogue and everything, and was even "edited" with hard cuts to different "camera angles" and everything.

I have some dreams where I'm in a different body, but it's still me inside, the way I think and feel and react. But sometimes I'm not there at all and it's just weird. Does anybody think this may have some kind of meaning? Or is it just my overactive imagination at work?

Being another person in a dream has to do with exploring different aspects of yourself. For example, the little girl with blonde hair could represent a part of you that is very innocent.

The Ringo Starr dream could have to do with a quality that you think Ringo Starr has that you also have.

The "movie" dreams are partly you having a vivid imagination, but the actors themselves could represent qualities that you wish you had or that you need to develop more, or if the actors behave badly, qualities in yourself that you want to get rid of.
