A man who resembles actor Richard Dreyfuss sits on a lawn chair on a sandy beach. There are trees behind him. A heavy wooden pole comes down upon him and goes through his skull. I see the pole in his head and it reminds me of something I have seen on the show "CSI." Then his conscious leaves his body and I see it. It (the consciousness) looks like the head of a cyborg. It opens up and I see mechanical workings inside and it is speaking. I don't recall what it was saying, however. end.

This sounds like it could be your brain examining its own workings. The tree makes me think of the branching of neurons. And the loss of the mans's consciousness in the dream is the copy of the way you lost consciousness in real life, being asleep.

    Interesting perspective.

I was listening to a radio program the other morning and a scientist has been doing experimental research on the brain and consciousness. he believes it (the consciousness) is the most powerful force in the universe. We have not evolved to the point of understanding all it can do nor how to test it accurately.

It's ironic that the thing that we possess cannot tell us how it works!
