From today, I am keeping a dream journal next to my bed so that I can better remember and record my dreams. I hope that while I try to interpret my dreams that others can help me in the process. I was on the floor. As I moved my mouth I felt that I had loose teeth. I was spitting out blood and pieces of my teeth! Either whole teeth or just pieces of them were coming out. It was like my teeth were shattered in my mouth. I looked into a small mirror at my teeth and they were all jagged or missing. Then I was in this huge mansion. It was all white inside. There was a big staircase with many people lined up, facing forward around it. I was on the balcony so I could look down at the people side by side. It was as if it was a cult or they were trying to stand for something (like a protest). All of a sudden the first person was yelling about something. And like a triggering affect he starting to jump up and land on the floor dead. The next guy was on his knees smashing his arms and hands on the floor trying to break his fingers and arms. Then one by one all the people in a line were jumping in the air and just falling down as if they were committing suicide because even though they simply jumped in the air (like jumping rope. They were not floating or anything. They jumped the height you would normally jump) their bodies were slamming down on the floor and they died. I remember that all of a sudden I was hanging onto the banister from the opposite side and my "friends" were on the other side. I was yelling and crying about how I didn't want to live anymore and I'm sick of life. I was shaking my head as the "friends" just looked at me. I let go of the banister and fell to the floor. I just laid there and that's it. That's all I remember from the dream, perhaps that's when I woke up.
It is hard to draw conclusions from a single dream; and I'd recommend you keep recording for awhile and see what themes and patterns emerge; but that it ends with you not wanting to live any more and being sick of life suggests that your dreaming mind may be bringing up matters that are beyond the scope of this forum. I'll also point out that you can also post in a private message; and if you choose to do so that you consider Marcia, Sweet Slumber or me. You'll notice that at the top of this page (and most pages on this site) there's a link to a dream dictionary that might give you some insights on such things as losing teeth and people falling down dead. It's a good dictionary; but your own free associations as time goes along may be equally or even more important. Dream symbolism can be highly personal; and you are usually trying to translate something visual into something verbal. Some people's dreams (like mine) often involve puns and plays on words. Thus, what you see as "falling down dead" might in time prove to be "falling flat on one's face"; and losing teeth may be what it proved to be in my dreams: I was indeed losing teeth, and now wear full dentures. Alarming as that dream must have been, I thinki most regfulars on this site would tell you that your dreams are there to help you. They are not fearful or frightening to be malicious; but to alert you to situations which your subconcious mind (which can be very wise indeed) considers serious. Like a loud fire alarm, they are there to tell you to get to safety. They are also part of the healing process. With a reminder to you that you do not have to post publicly but can access us by PM, I'll ask you to take time to consider: what is it in your life that leads you to be tired of it? Also - again, using both the dictionary and your own associations - what do these dream peoples' falling down dead, losing teeth, and friends-behind-a-banister mean to you personally? Finally, keep in mind that this dream you've presented, nightmare though it was, may well lead to a newer, happier you. A Chinese sage said that "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." This dream may be that step.
Dear Kara308, I have had many missing or loose teeth dreams my self. Especially during periods of my life where I have been confused or uncertain about life or what decisions I should make. Missing Teeth to me have represented vision or even wisdom that i am lacking and need to obtain. I don't know about your spiritual beliefs, but as for myself, I generally ask God for direction or help in order to get me on the right path and make my steps clear during these challenging periods of time.He does every time. If you find that you do need direction or wisdom, just ask God. He will help you and will guide you to where you are supposed to be. As for the suicide parts of your dream, it sounds like there may be areas of discouragement or disappointment you may be dealing with. All I can say is that things will turn around and change if you are struggling with just hanging on. My prayer for you is that you will have the vision, understanding, and wisdom you need to get to where you need to be. Be encouraged. Just hold on because things are about to change. There are new relationships and opportunities ahead. God Bless
