Little Rascals Big Go Cart 8/12/2008 I was watching TCM and the host was on there talking but I could not hear what he said and then the movie started. It was a movie with the kids from the little Rascals however it was filmed before the little rascals started, sometime around 1910are before I am not sure how I knew this. The film was very old and probably one of the first films made. At first, there was a very large stagecoach like thing going down the road and it had 3 very large wheels on each side. They were the old fashioned wheels made of wood and they were very big. I thought “Oh Good” because I could tell it was a very old movie. The coach went rolling by and there were kids all over it. One of the kids was just hanging on to a parallel bar that was a few feet above the ground and he was just ridding there, it kind of worried me and I wondered how many kids lost there life’s in the old days from falling under the contraption before people learned any better I was kind of thinking of my own kids. Next I heard a kid talking but I could not tell what he said only that he sounded like the kid from the movie “Brother were art thow” that keeps saying “He’s a suitor!” and I thought about how they sounded exactly alike and must be the same kid. Next, the camera showed a kid driving it and he was sitting up front in a soapbox like derby car and had a steering wheel. They were going down a very steep mountain road with lots of sharp hairpin curves. The scene was from the kids view or the camera was in front just showing what the kid would see and you could see it going very fast and coming up on a hairpin curve looking out over the ocean that was more than a mile down a steep cliff. The kids were yelling something at each other and then it showed an old fashioned car going down the hill in front of them that they would eventually crash into. The End I woke up laughing, it was very funny that they thought they could just turn the wheel and the Go-cart would turn no matter haw fast they were going. Everything was black and white I was watching a TV show at work the other day and then changed channels. The narrator was also on the other show I turned to and turned it back and forth a few times because I recognized his voice however, I did not know who it was.
This dream brought back a few memories for me of when I was a kid and we'd visit my aunt and uncle. My cousin had a pony named Dolly and she'd give us a ride up the road in a drawn carriage up to my grandmother's house.
