Ok so I had this awful dream and I don't know what to make of it.

I was trying to get to my ex-girlfriend (who I am completely still in love with). She was scared and screaming for me. Well, I got to her and she ran into my arms. As I was holding her, she said everything would be ok. Then she kissed me and turned into ashes. Then she was just gone. I woke up in tears.

I have no idea what to think.

I think the part about her turning to ashes represents the death of your relationship. I think this is your way of coming to terms with the end of the relationship. The part where she is screaming to you and runs into your arms represents the hope that she still needs you and will come back to you.

It's interesting that you dream that she comes to you because she is frightened, rather than because she wants to do something fun and enjoyable with you. Maybe that has to do with some insecurity on your part.
