This is a long dream, but its been a while since I've posted one. It's quite a story and hope you enjoy it! :)

A man, who reminds me of actor Brian Dennehey, enlists the help of a young man named Jimmy. Jimmy is in his 20's, white, shoulder length blondish hair, average height and build---not really handsome, but appealing.

Both men do a home invasion. It's unclear what they are after, but the Dennehey character shoots a group of people as he enters the premises.

Now, the evidence is closing in and Jimmy and the man end up living together in a small house. The man has a daughter who approaches Jimmy in an upstairs room. Now I become that woman/daughter and I'm dressed in a kimono type robe with a simple floral print. I appproach Jimmy and flirt with him. He caresses me and tells me a story about a dress with a simple floral design--a sort of poem for me.

Then I'm the observer again and Jimmy and the man's daughter had a relationship. There are three children being held by a man. The man is black and muscular and he's holding the chidren in a vat of water like a tub. Then the chidlren are sitting in a more shallow tub as a nurse trims their hair. I meet the daughter and ask her if those are her's and Jimmy's children. She nods her head in acknowledgement, but seems unhappy about it. I congradulate her just the same.

One boy is tan skinned, the other two children are black. The tan boy asks if he can keep a lock of his hair and the nurse tells him "yes" as he holds it. His hair is whispy and rather thin, compared to the other two. The nurse, who is also black, puts hair tonic on the heads of the other two. They ask about keeping locks of thier hair, and she tells them they cant---probably because they don't have enough to keep locks of.

Then, Jimmy, the man, his daughter and the children are in a car. A black woman, who is suspicious of them---it may have something to do with the invasion---is in another car. They (Jimmy and co.) pull out of a snow covered parking lot, as the woman follows them out, fishtailing and swirving.

Was it like a movie? I've had a lot of dream lately that I've enjoyed watching, or so it seemed, as if they were movies.

I like the title 'Jimmy and the Man', sounds like it's Jimmy against the world.

In fact I have to write a very short story for a writing circle exercise this week, I think I'll call it Jimmy and the Man. :)

Yes, it was like a movie. A story dream. I haven't had such a lengthy and detailed dream like this in a long time.

Is "Jimmy Against the World" an actual title of a story? If so, I'm not familiar, nor do I plagerize. There was an American TV show back in the 70's called "Chico and the Man."

I called it Jimmy and the Man because my primary focus was on Jimmy, an appealing character.

I've read your dreams maljonic. Most of them are like weird story lines. A lot of them make me laugh!

I don't think Jimmy Against the the World is a story, I just thought Jimmy and the Man sounded like that - 'the Man' being government that is.

What was Chico and the Man about?

I better update my dreams tomorrow, I'm a week behind now. I keep them in a book that I write in as soon as I wake up. Last night I was on a bus in the 1970s with my friend Dave, we'd travelled back in time and we were laughing our heads of at pictures of iPods in a magazine we brought with us, knowing that no one else on the bus would have a clue what it was. :)

You also had a dream recently where you had a time machine and went back to the 70's and dropped off all kinds of gadgets from this time period. I remembered that because it reminded me of the new one. Do you ever wonder why you keep going back to the 70's? I grew up in that time era but I hardly dream about it anymore. The only spectaclur thing about it for me was the music.

Chico and the Man was a TV series from 1974 to 78. It went off the air shortly after the lead actor Freddie Prinze committed suicide.

I grew up in the 1970s, in fact I was born in 1970. I don't remember too much of it but I've often thought, over the last ten years, that it would be nice to travel back in time and see how everything looked back then where I lived. I'd like to see if I remember any of it and maybe even see myself doing some of the things I remember. It would be odd to walk around town without all the electronic noises you get these days; cash registers, reversing vehicles, mobile phones and so on.
