I write a lot and one of my characters, Aiden the vampire, came into my dream. That was a cool thing but what happened was confusing. Here's my dream: ------------------- He came at night when I was in my room with the lights on, sleepless from insomnia. I was sitting on my bed. It was weird because I didn't have my radio on as I usually did. I was just thinking because I dreamt that I wasn't doing anything besides sitting on the edge. He opened my door despite the fact it was locked. We knew each other instantly and he told me to get packed. I panicked and didn't know what to do because it was so sudden. I went out of my room and saw that my sister's light was on. I knocked on the door and asked for a bag to but my stuff in. She said she could find one if she looked but I said "nevermind" and remembered I had my backpack in my room. I took it and began putting my stuff in. I forgot to lock my door and my sister came in my room. At this point, I have no idea where Aiden is. She didn't seem to see him. She asked me what I was doing and soon my parents came in. I don't remember what happened afterwards but the next thing that happened was this: Aiden, my sister, and I were on the road, a dirt road, going to a ghost town. Aiden said something that wasn't clear. That was the last image I saw before going to another dream.
The fact that Aiden was able to come into your room despite the door being locked could me that Aiden is that part of you in your subconscious that you'd like to keep out. The Aiden character finds his way in anyway. Since he is your character, you know what parts of him that you don't like and which parts are like you. It's also interesting that your sister does not see him when she enters the room. Is your Aiden character invisible to certain people and can he see his reflection in the mirror? Perhaps you are confident that others can not see the Aiden in you.
