Again, I apologize for flooding the message board.. But this site seems to be intelligent, and able to help me sort me through my dreams. With that being said, Is it possible to remember a memory as an infant and dream it over and over? I have been having this dream for as long as I can remember. Since I was a small child. Im in an all white room, there are men in white above me, with masks on (doctors) And when I turn my head left I can see my mom standing behind a door with a square glass window , and she is wearing a blue jean jacket. One SHe had had for years and years in all reality. The thing is , when I was 8 days old I had heart surgery, and I was very very ill, I ended up weighing a little over 4lbs. My mom had the blue jean jacket well before I was born. I was wondering if anyone thought this could be a memory from when I was an infant, and if this is even possible, this memory has always stuck with me, in dreams and out of dreams.
I'm no psychologist or even good at understanding dreams, so I dont' know if my opinion matters to you at all, but I think it's very possible. If a person has dreams that they don't remember, then you could think of infancy the same way...youmightnot remember it, but it's somewhere in the back of yourmind.
Was this something your parents talked to you about as you grew older? Did you ask questions of the story? Sometimes, when we hear the words, it is quite possible to imagine ourselves in the time and place. But for such a traumatic experience, it is quite possible, I would think, that you have remembered this experience from your own eight day old viewpoint.
