    Tuesday, November 4th, 2008, the United States elected it's first black man (African-American) to the highest office in the nation--President of the United States. In a nation that began it's road to prosperity on the backs of African slaves, to a nation that put the descendant of an African into the White House. A man named Barack Obama.

    That's understandable, and that's probably why British tv is talking about it. We have new leadership and this gives the United State a chance to get some respectability it lost with George W. Bush. I think it's Bush that many Brits hate. He's certainly not the most popular figure here in America either.

    about 70% of Britain ahte america I am one of them though I am friend swith quitea few americans lol no offence marcia :)

    I don't think many British people actually trully hate Americans, that would be stupid seeing as they don't know them, but a lot of British people like to say they do - same as a lot of people like to say they hate the French even though they don't really.

    What a load of bull, not very long ago you said you were moving to America - why would you want to do that if you hate the place?
