I was inside this shell filled with water. However I could 'breathe' in the water. There was this claustrophobic feeling I got inside of this shell. It was a big, blue snail's shell, looking like a maze and it was impossible to see where I was since the shell was closed both on top aswel as below. It was not a spiral; just a lot of hallways. There were these mermaids swimming through the shell and past me very fast. They were screaming so loudly that I just wanted to escape their screams but I couldn't get out. Their voices were very shrill and made me panic, and the mermaids were hysterical, not allowing me to think clearly.

I think this dream has a lot of symbolism representing difference.

A mermaid is a cross between two different kinds of animal - a fish and a human.

You are in water, but you breathe it as if it were air, which is a different medium than water.

A maze has a choice of different directions you can take.

It seems to me that this dream has to do with a choice you think you have to make.
