So, I'm with a lot of people from high school, whom I haven't seen since graduation. Strangely enough, they weren't even people that I cared about in high school. For some reason, we're all riding in this white tahoe, that has an extra seat outside the car affixed to the door, to make room for this other guy, who apparently wouldn't fit. (I guess he's just buckled into a seat outside the back seat doing seventy miles an hour?) So, we end up at this mall, for no apparent reason. As we're walking around, I'm noticing everyone that I'm with is dropping large quantities of money on the floor. Normally, I'm very honest and would return the money to them, but in this dream, I'm pocketing all of it. Before long, I've accumulated about 3000 dollars just from picking it up off the floor. Then, the fact that I'm only wearing panties comes to light. I am just walking around this mall in panties picking up money. Then, I hear someone calling my name, and it freaks me out. So, I run to this bathroom to try and hide. In the bathroom stall that I chose, trying to hide, are two (I'm assuming) nurses. They're holding a 6 month old baby newborn style, all swaddled up and such. The baby is tiny, but they insist it's 6 months old. They thrust this baby into my arms and I'm just holding this child. It's shivering, obviously freezing. For no reason, I have a downy comforter and I'm trying to put something warmer on this baby. The baby is trying to get away from me...wiggling and acting crazy. It talks fluently to me. I woke up. What do you guys get out of this weird stuff?
The theme that comes up for me in this dream is people being out of place. First, you are with people in high school who you wouldn't have associated with when you were in high school in waking life. Then, there is the guy sitting in the seat outside the car. Then, you are in the mall in only panties. (Not dressed like people who normally go to the mall.) Then, there is the talking baby who is newborn but is only 6 months old. Does this have any significance for you? Picking up money while you are wearing panties and then trying to hide when someone calls you name sounds like you feel like you deserve something, but at the same time you feel uncomfortable about acknowledging that. I think the baby represents something in you that you haven't allowed to develop, that needs care and nurturing (why it's 6 months old but hasn't grown to look like a 6 month old, and why it is so cold and needs you to keep it warm).
After reading your interpretation of it, I think I know what it is.....strange. My boyfriend and I have been together for (about) 6 months....he and I never really paid attention to the actual date. But, we had been broken up and were both dating other people. I think the being out of place insinuates that the other people we were with weren't right, and the cold, needy baby represented our relationship that needed to be taken care of before it completely dissipated.
