I have a problem. I haven't been dreaming at all. This is unusual for me, 'cause I usually dream every night, ever since I was a kid. It's not that I'm not remembering my dream. I just haven't been dreaming. Can anyone answer as to why I haven't been dreaming or why some people don't dream? Something is going on.

How do you know that you are not dreaming at all, rather than just not remembering your dreams?

Are you taking any drugs or medication? Some of them can affect the amount and quality of your dreams.

    Have your sleep patterns changed?

There are very few people who do not dream at all, and that is because they have very severe brain damage due to an accident, stroke, etc.

I tend to dream a lot and remember my dreams. My wife never remembers having any dreams. The few times she has had dreams, they were nightmares. I do not remember dreams every night but I am aware of many dreams. A lot of my dreams seem to be refelection of something which happened that day and comes out in a dream. Sometimes, the dreams have more meaning! How long have you not been dreaming?

Everyone is different in regard to how easy it is for them to remember their dreams and in what kind of dreams they have.

What's important is a change in your usual dreaming patterns.
