A group of about 9 of us went to a hospital by the sea so we could learn more about what sort of things go on in hospitals. All of the people in my group were from my primary school, except one who was a close friend of mine in secondary school, who is partially sighted, called Bianca.
As we walked through the hospital me and Bianca see the rooms we will all be staying in; one was light and pretty with big windows and a view of the sea and the other was dark and plain.
We decided to break off from the group so we would get the best beds in the nice room. One bed by the window was a double so we thought we should share that... but then the bed turned into a single bed so we had to be separated.
I decided to go and look for the other people from our group, as they had disappeared. I walked along the corridor looking into the different rooms as I went.
All the people in the hospital where in dark rooms with bandages covering most of their faces, with just the area around their eyes showing; the small bit of skin I could see was covered in blood in all the people I saw.
As I left the hospital it was dark, like it was going to rain, and the hospital was a very tall, square red brick building.
As I left the grounds I saw someone I used to be friends with and her sister standing near the gate eating, but I tried not to look at them and walked past.

This dream made me feel scared and it was like the hospital was experimenting on people rather then curing them.
Also before I saw the people with the bandages it was pretty inside the hospital but after the sky was dark and the building looked like an asylum out of a horror movie.

A quick bit about me now, I work in a small community hospital with only 2 wards, that are rehab wards for old people coming out of bigger hospitals and are going back home or into care homes. I work in the pharmacy there so I don’t deal directly with the inpatients.
Also I self harm and have very low self esteem... this may be linked in some way.
I am also in a relatively new relationship.
Lastly, I have had a dog for 14 years and she is being put down today.

If someone would be able to give me an idea what this means then i would be really grateful :)

Well, since you work in a community hospital, it's natural that a hospital wodl be the setting for your dream.

Your partially sighted friend could have to do with the idea of not knowing everything. Maybe not understanding death (your dog) or understanding what leads you to harm yourself or to have low self esteem.

The same with the light room and the big windows and the dark, plain room. It means you can see clearly in some places but not others.

The sea in a dream often represents your unconscious or your emotions.

It's interesting that you are with people you knew from school. This could mean that you are unconsciously bringing up issues from your past.

The bed turning into a single bed so you and Bianca are separated could have to do with you having trouble connecting emotionally with other people.

We often reveal our emotions through our faces, so the people with bandages covering most of their faces could have to do with you being unable to show your emotions, either to other people or to yourself, or with feeling that you can't communicate emotionally with others.

Eating in a dream can represent giving yourself emotional satisfaction and comfort, so watching other people eat but trying to ignore them could have to do with feeling that you aren't worthy of this comfort and satisfaction yourself.

Your feeling that the hospital is experimenting with people rather than cutting them could have to do with your feelings about self harm. You are trying to make yourself better when you harm yourself but you are starting to feel that it isn't working.

This could also be reflected by the change in scenery, from the building at first seeming pretty inside and then seeming like it was from a horror movie.

A hospital is an area associated with healing. You saw this building as red. Red is a grounding color, it's the color of the body (blood). The ocean can be seen as many things. Water is often associated with emotion (raging, calm, or deep and unknown) or of the feminine (water is life-sustaining and life-giving).

You enter this hospital with friends. You are not alone nor are you alone while you investigate the hospital itself. Someone is always with you, but she's partially sighted. She can provide you with companionship, but not more insight than you can gather for yourself. Since your intent upon visiting this hospital wasn't for personal healing, but for insight, it's interesting that you'd pair yourself with Bianca and not someone else. Within this dream you have no teacher, but you aren't alone either. What you learn will be from your own efforts.

Within the hospital you notice that not all rooms are identical. One room is attractive with large windows that provide lots of light while another is dark and less attractive. The one you want is the attractive one with the large windows. You see it has a double bed, which is pleasing to you because then you and Bianca can share the same space. But once you notice it, it changes into a single bed. This is further imagery to you that although you aren't alone, this is a personal journey for you.

All the people in the hospital were in separate rooms, which were dark, as opposed to one large room with lots of beds. Although isolated, each had a seemingly similar injury. That's interesting. This could be a lot of things. Maybe it's a manifestation of your belief that suffering is something that should be or is done in private. Suffering alone is depressing and could be why each room was dark.

Each patient's face was bandanged except for the eyes. The eyes are the window to the soul and the souls of each was shown to you. That most of their faces were obscured could indicate shame or a hiding of their injuries (more imagery associated with suffering alone).

From this hospital you saw that healing means isolation, shame and darkness and the dark and gloomy sky confirms this after you leave it. However, that's not the end of the story. As you leave, you see 2 people you know and they're eating. Eating is life-promoting activity (more healing imagery) and these 2 people are doing it TOGETHER as opposed to the patients within the hospital doing it alone. You don't want to look at or engage them. My guess is that you don't wish to engage in that type of healing, though you know it exists.

Interesting dream imagery. Thanks for sharing it.
