i have this dream often as well ,,, is it normal to have the same dream over and over from childhood to adulthood?
this dream takes place in a house down the street from where i was raised ,,i am in the house and upstairs there is a hall at the end of the hall is a bedroom with the door closed ,,i am terrified of this room so i start to go down the stairs to get out of the house but at the bottom of the stairs is a piano and it starts to play by itself,,i am frozen in the middle of the stairs and keep trying to get down them ,,i can see the front door and it is open but there is a porch and there is something in the porch as well ,,sometimes i get out of the house but sometimes i wake befor i can get out ,....
this is a real house and all i see in my dreams such as piano and everything is real it was always there ,,even today as i go by this house i am still very nervous , i actually get panic attacks as i go by it , so avoid it at all costs ..
    thanks for your help...lor.

I do have some dreams from time to time that I've always had; when I was really young I used to dream about being chased by a huge white, rolling ball over a thousand feet tall. I think I may have got the idea from watching a TV show called The Prisoner when I was very young; I still have the same dream today and, though it doesn't frighten me in quite the same way, it does bring back some of the old feelings of being very small and vulnerable.

Are you saying the house makes you nervous even in your real, waking life – not just in your dreams? If this is the case it might be worth talking to a counsellor about it, or even going to a properly qualified hypnotherapist to find the root of your anxiety. Or, if you don’t want to do that, you could write down exactly what happens each time you have these kind of dreams, or all your dreams in fact, and see if you can find a pattern developing that might give you some clues as to where the anxiety may stem from. You can also try actively altering the course of the dream to see if you can gain control over it and learn something that way, like in the other dream you wrote about. :)

yes the house makes me very nervous ,,interesting enough i have slept over in it many times when i was little as it was my friends house ,,i ran out of it one night to go home at 5 in the morning ( i only lived 2 houses away ) i am not sure why i left i just remember being afraid .. i should also tell you it is on the same street as the other body part dream ..i am not sure i really want to know why i am so afraid ,,perhaps i will just alter the dream as i will the other one in hopes it goes away ...thanks again for your helpl...lor...

Yes, I agree with Maljonic that if the anxiety is carrying over to your waking life, unlike a usual nightmare, where you wake up frighened but glad that it was only a dream, you should see a counselor about it.
