The song is called "Was it a Dream"...by 30 Seconds To Mars
from the album A Beautiful Lie. So can you try to hear the song some how or if you had heard it already thats great!...but ill put the lyrics for you guys...IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU LISTEN TO THE SONG...tnx!

    "WAS IT A DREAM?"

    Your defenses were on high
    Your walls built deep inside
    Yeah I'm a selfish bastard
But at least I'm not alone
    My intentions never change
What I wanted stays the same
And I know what I should do
it's time to set myself on fire
    Was it a dream?
    Was it a dream?
Is this the only evidence that proves it
A photograph of you and I
    Your reflection I've erased
Like a thousand burned out yesterdays
Believe me when I say goodbye forever
    Is for good
    Was it a dream?
    Was it a dream?
Is this the only evidence that proves it
A photograph of you and I
    Was it a dream?
    Was it a dream?
Is this the only evidence that proves it
A photograph of you and I
(A photograph of you and I)
    Was it a dream?
    Was it a dream?
Is this the only evidence that proves it
A photograph of you and I
A photograph of you and I
A photograph of you and I... in love...

......JUST NEED SOMEONE INPUT ON IT, LIKE WHAT IT IS SAYING.....

    You mean this song?

Not sure what it could mean exactly in your dream, could be just that you connect with the words - like they fit with your current life situation?

Or maybe you like the singer?

Were all the words in the dream, do you know the words off by heart, without looking?

Everyone will interpret a song (or any other piece of art) differently based on their own experiences. What this songmeant for the person who wrote it will not be what it means for you. What it meant in your dream will depend on your feelings and experiences.

A song heard in a dream can represent the idea of a “theme song” – suggesting a particular idea or attitude that comes into every aspect of your life. [For example some people go about claiming to be very unlucky – an idea that comes up whenever something goes wrong at work, at home, in a relationship etc.]

The most obvious aspect of the song you heard is its repeating refrain – “was it a dream?” A dream can be understood as referring to some imaginative thinking. A “dream” can also relate to the idea of some wishful thinking, thinking that may give great satisfaction on a mental level but which may have no physical confirmation. {Are you perhaps aware that you keep on wishing for things to happen or perhaps not able to distinguish what is cold reality from what you wish it could be.

“Was it a dream” is a question suggesting inability to distinguish “dreams” from reality. As the rest of the song does involve a love relationship, could this inability apply to a romantic attachment you have?
